These series of blogs will focus on the Java, MySQL, JBoss on the Ubuntu Server.
The first set of blogs will focus on setup. How do I set up Ubuntu Server? How do I install JBoss? How do I know which JDK to use? How do I install a JDK. To some, it’s kid and play, but I don’t want to make any assumptions, except that the user knows something about web development and has probably written a static web app or two.
The second set of topics I would like to focus on is some background information on JBoss or tomcat, along side introducing test driven methodology using Java with Eclipse and problems from Project Euler as examples. These series will address questions as, how do I configure JBoss or tomcat? Why should I test before I write an ounce of code? How do I test before I write code? What are the tools used for testing?
The third series is undetermined. I’m not sure what to write about next. If you like any of these or know that a topic, sentence or concept is ambiguous or wrong, please let me know. I’m pretty good about responding. Thank you.
